I gave this passion vine to my daughter several years ago and the tag is long gone. This year for the first time it is setting fruit and I am hoping someone can tell us which species it is so we know if the fruit is edible. It appears to have elongated fruit but she says they saw a bigger fruit and it was round. I have entries in plantfiles from 10 years ago but all it shows is that the cultivar is "purple gem" but no species so still no idea if fruit is edible.
