thank you to the generous hester's at wild iris rows in tennessee.

received my first iris box of the season consisting of :

5-6 'caribbean cruise' 2- larger and the rest were tiny increases with fans

and ?? either 'fire fettle' or 'fire feffle'. i couldn't find either in the db. any one know of this iris?
ah hah, we have a 'fine fettle'
in the db sans photo. deforest 1974 white w/lilac border

wow! look at the number of 'caribbean cruise'. hope this doesn't mean it's exteremely prolific, or the opposite end that it is difficult to grow? but i am thankful for darnell and greg's generosity!

Daphne - I am pretty sure it means Caribbean Cruise is prolific. Most Burseens are! Nice box from nice people.

Its a great day when the first shipment of plants arrive at your door. Im aiming for the same reaction to my retail and trade shipments.
My shipping season is just around the corner --- and just in time for a heat wave according to the forecasts a week out

I have serious heart and blood pressure issues that are exacerbated by heat. Wish me luck

We're in the mid 90's with the heat index over 105 due to humidity. My poor gardens need to be worked in or I will never be ready for boxes.

Timothy ~ Please take care of yourself. We want you to stick around a little longer. I have been noticing similar symptoms when I go into the heat as well.( I have been having a lazy day today.)
