So excited about this seedling that I want to share with everybody today. It's huge and has good substance and height. It also looks like a polychrome in person. I am not sure if my photo captures this effect. Also the name of the pod parent is befitting of my condition at this moment. Smiling

Just want to show the size. My hand span is about 7" so this must be 8"+

Love, love, love all the seedling blooms from June and now July! Many look registration worthy on looks alone! Keep em coming folks! Lovey dubby Hurray! Hurray! Hurray!

Seedling Scapes are still popping up here and there! I've had a lot of rain these past 2 months, so I am sure that has encouraged more scapes and blooms/reblooms than what I remember from previous years. (Just praying there are no hurricanes that come my way this summer/fall as the Atlantic Ocean is too warm already. The warmer the water, the stronger the hurricanes!! Ugh!)

Some seedlings from this past week:

CCC27 ( Buddy Hudson x Unknown)is reblooming. It originally bloomed through the month of May. It rested for almost a month and started producing blooms again on June 25th:
Thumb of 2018-07-01/beckygardener/60791c

Same goes for SSS03 (Whale Tails x Special Candy). Started reblooming the end of June:

TTT10 (CCC01 (Laughing Clown x Zanti Misfit) x Galaxy Explosion) First Bloom Ever!:
Thumb of 2018-07-01/beckygardener/c02b4b

SSS21 (Dragonfly Dawn x Smoky Eyes) First Bloom Ever! Love the very green throat/eye that this one has! I believe that green is coming from Smoky Eyes genes.
Thumb of 2018-07-01/beckygardener/e5900b Thumb of 2018-07-01/beckygardener/32b31c

TTT26 (CCC05 (Laughing Clown x Zanti Misfit) x Little Jet Setter) is STILL blooming! What a blooming maniac! Started blooming the beginning of April and it's still got buds on the newest scape! It is a rust-free CLUMP now too! This is a 1 year old seedling! Never had one quite this robust before! It's definitely got good genes!

Beautiful seedlings, love the giant ones.
My seedling in the Hemlady seed bed is not very pretty but I did find it interesting.
Blooms on different days.

I missed yesterday's photo of the bloom but it was totally the brownish color. I think the day before was all yellow.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder...I have a bacterial eye infection and even with that I can't find the beauty in that bloom.

Larry, I agree, it isn't the prettiest daylily, but it would be worth keeping it for the potential genetic contribution to broken color variation!

Becky, your Whale Tails seedling is amazing. I really love its colors combo.

Larry, I agree with others that your seedling color changes are very interesting. Is it a new seedling? Wonder what if this change will persist or the daylily seedling settles down with a stable color?

Tim, your cross of George Jets On (Yost) x Lady of Shallott (Todd) bloom is a beauty! Love its pastel shadings of green and lavender. I have been lucky with crosses I bought from Steve Todd. Most produce great seedlings.

Mary, I wish my general health is as good and age is as young as the condition of my hand. But thank you! You make my day!

kousa,
Yes this is a new seedling. I got the seeds from Hemlady and planted them last May.
I was wondering the same thing, will this trait go away after a few more blooms, after a year? Will it become more unstable and be even more varied? I only wish the brown looking color did not resemble rot so much, maybe it could have been a pretty bright red? Whistling

Larry - I suspected it was a smaller bloom. Thumbs up I just think that color streaking has possibilities if it remains stable. And I am currently breeding small blooms. 4" is not mini, but it could be bred with another small or mini cultivar. I think the streaking is unusual which I like along with the smaller size. How's the bud count for that seedling?

Tim and Diana - you each have some nice seedlings, too! Lovey dubby

Some more nice seedlings today in spite of the high heat. In fact, some seedlings actually look and open better in this high heat.
