I inherited this garden and am trying to clean it up and sort it out. Its got deep green leaves with little purple flowers, and there are several plants with white flowers and what looks to be single peas growing on them. Just wondering what type of bean plant it is? TIA

Hello! Im not really sure but my guess is that is some kind of a nightshade. Solanum Dulcamara. I tip my hat to you.

To me it looks like a bean species. Based on the purple flowers (and potentially dark purple pods) I would say Red Hyacinth Bean (Dolichos lablab).

There are pole and bush beans with purple flowers, it might be difficult to figure out exactly which cultivar they are but here's a picture of one of the bush beans with purple flowers (it's a better pic than I could find of a pole bean). The shape of the bean pods should eventually differentiate from Dolichos but I'm guessing they're "regular" beans because of the white ones being there too.

Edited to add another picture, of Lablab purpureus (dolichos bean) to show the bean shape

All the beans on it are still so small, I'm guessing its a bush bean plant though, because they are about 3ft tall or so and don't really look like they're getting taller.
The beans themselves are a jade green
