I purchased BD 2 years ago. It has bloomed the past 2 summers. It got moved last year and again this year to its new home and weathered those moves without a problem.

At this time, I have yet to see the scapes reach more than 24-27 inches. The registered height is 36 inches. It may just need a few years of not being uprooted to settle in. I don't think that the flowers are 5.5 inches across either nor am I getting 20-25 buds per scape. Again I may have more favorable results in a few years.

On the positive though, it is a very pretty flower and has awesome ruffles.
