@stilldew shared this one with me last fall and the cv settled in nicely, blooming this year on a couple of scapes. As an evergreen, it did well without babying or mulch. The color really does stand out in the garden. The scapes were short, bud count was okay, and bloom size smaller than listed, yet it packed a visual punch. I know I have pods set on it (probably Coral Majority as my daughter crossed that with almost every tet I have). I'll double check it tomorrow.
The one photo I have available via the laptop... (the tablet is being a pain)

For reasons unknown, I have kept this daylily for at least 8 years. One of the worst performing registered plants I have ever grown. 2018 was the best performance with 5 scapes and still had only an 18" [ registered at 32"] scape with 8 blooms and that was with blooming about 2 weeks later than usual FFO 5/26. Here, Cause For Pause has never had a 7" [as registered] bloom typically 6" max. Here, Cause For Pause typically has a bud count of 3 although sometimes more. Relocated about 3 years ago, it is still an underperformer. This plant is one of the reasons I am not a fan of Florida originated evergreens. Maybe it would do better farther south Shrug!
Pod fertile as I have this bloomed seedling

Here is CFP in all its glory, definitely not a 32" scape

I also grew this for quite a few years, though I'm not sure why. I must have thought it presented itself well.

I know daylilies look different in different gardens, but I seriously wonder if you have the right plant, Dave @SunriseSide.
