Impossible to tell from your image.
In my experience people are very happy if you ask them.
Just knock the door and ask...."please may I just take a pic of your beautiful tree."
I used a telephoto lens and took a close up shot and loaded into a plant identification software program. It identified it as a Silver Wattle, aka Mimosa Acacia. I will know for sure when it blooms the little yellow balls. Cheers!
Now I'm stumped...Could be Acacia angustissima? No thorns on this tree...so that eliminates quite a few Acacias, including my favorite the Sweet Acacia.
