I've sort of tried to start getting into fall planting already. I went ahead and bought some mums, pansies, and dwarf snapdragons. Is it safe to go ahead and plant them all in full sun, or will they be beat down since it is still 85-90 degree days here? September is when we start dropping to 50 degree nights, and 70 degree days here.
Maybe we should get a second opinion...

The mums are perennial, but the pansies and dragons are not hardy in my zone I don't think.

Plant and enjoy.
Snapdragonns; once a week water with 1/4 strength miracle grow, and keep pinching them back a tad really makes bloom.

Best wishes.

Thanks! I planted the same type of dwarf snapdragons I have now, but at the beginning of the year (early April), and they suffered majorly. Though, now that I think about it, it could be because Indiana was fluctuating between 26 and 70 degrees. I planted them in a part shade area, and they seemed to do better than when in full sun. I also have a bunch of the large snapdragons that have bloomed non-stop in partial shade since May! They seem to enjoy soil that is more on the moist side, correct? Are they heavy feeders?
