I potted up this plant sometime in mid June and although it has a healthy looking rosette of leaves it has not sent up any flowering stems and really has barely grown at all. I keep it very moist and have tried it in different light conditions to no avail. Trying it now in full sun. Perhaps just not suited to container planting? Container (10-12 ") too small? Not enough sun? Any other suggestions? Surely is should be sending out some stems by now?

It may not bloom until September or even, next year. They like mostly sun and a LOT of water but, otherwise, I think a container is fine.

Thank You! Daisy. I didn't realize it might not bloom the first year.
