Is this opuntia? If yes, any particular cultivar?

If not opuntia, what is it?

And yes, I know it's in the middle of bromeliads which might make it harder to see. I can crop the picture if need be.

It is an Opuntia hard to know which one. From the new growth it looks like it needs more light.

I agree it needs more light than that shopping center planter can give it. Hope they don't leave it there very long.
