...gardening ideas!

I'll be very happy to send 25 acorns to each of the next four people who post a new, original gardening idea to the Gardening Ideas forum! To receive the acorns, please reply to this post letting me know that you've posted. A link to your new post is even better. No links to other's ideas, please.

Can't wait to see the new ideas! Hurray!

I find it rather sad that the membership has to promote the ideas feature. But kudos to you, Joanna, for doing what you can to keep it alive.

Thanks but there have been quite a lot of really good ideas posted without urging. It's a new-ish forum so I'm guessing that some people might not be aware of it.

I'm the wrong person to ask because I haven't been around that long! But you can have Random Ideas appear on your homepage if you like. It's kind of a fun feature.

Personally, I can't keep track of all the remakes of this web site, so no clue what may or may not have happened prior to now. I do remember at some point there were member ideas which I really enjoyed, then they just went away. I have no idea where they are stashed now, and little interest in trying to find them. I'm definitely becoming more of a passive user. Meh.

I agree The last gardening idea I remember seeing was about DIY cement planters around 2 years ago.

The Ideas feature was retired a few months ago and is now used only by me to post news items.

The forums are the better place to post ideas and short howto-s. I recommend the All Things Gardening forum.
Thumbs up

Joanna,

Please check my post 'easy watering' on the gardening ideas forum.Don't know if you would consider this a new enough idea to earn acorns, but I thought I'd give it a shot.
Thank you for your consideration.

Very good to know Tamara. Here is the link to your idea:
The thread "Easy watering" in Gardening Ideas forum

We just bought new sprayers for our hoses and while they work okay, we felt like we were limited in our choices. I really hate it when something that I love wears out and I have to start shopping for new stuff, lol!

No new idea here (yet), but thanks to Joanna for the offer of acorns for ideas Thumbs up Good luck to everyone in the raffle! Like the raffles before this, the prizes are awesome and Dave, the vendors, and other donators are to be commended for all their efforts to make this place the fantastic site that it is I tip my hat to you.
