Thank you for posting this over here on ATP Mamajack! I have missed the co-ops terribly, and just can't navigate over on cubits. So you posting the link worked great!
I don't need any Salvias now, but just wanted to thank you! Big Grin

risingcreek............i have to go look as i don't remember your order. did you lose them because of drought? i have lost a few myself to that this summer. i have managed to keep phyllis' choice somewhat alive. it has been here for at least 3 yrs. i think and i love it but don't know how much longer it can hold on here. no rain in site for us.

thanks shelly. i'll prob. post many of our sales over here as well but we'll always take them back to cubits with a link from here to there. so you should be able to find them when you want them.

Just want to say I received my order that I had placed through cubits/co-ops Mamajacks Way and the communication and helpful input from Richard via regular emails and he even called me prior to shipping to offer help and advice was amazing. If you are in the market for Salvia, I really don't think there is anyone better qualified to help you choose plants ideal for your area than an expert such as Richard Dufresne. Big I tip my hat to you. to Barb for getting him on board for us!

I am hoping that they're lining up a spring Salvia sale too so I can play with the less hardy types as annuals. Richard did steer me away from a couple that weren't particularly suited to where I live and made alternate suggestions based on the size, height and color I was looking for.

Thanks again Barb and Richard!

he is so particular dmac. every word you say regarding growing conditions............he hears it. and offers suggestions. plus if you just give him a state name most of the time that's all he needs to TELL YOU what your growing conditions are.

i asked richard what his i.q. was. he said he never had had it tested. ( i KNOW he's at least a 136.) it seems i am surrounded by big brains. it is weary making. Big Grin

did you get koyamae? madrensis?

i am trying koyamae again. i had one for years that sat right beside the water faucet outside. that faucet leaks a little and it was that leak that kept the koyamae alive. and then i tried moving it to a spot i wanted it to grow in. and it died.

saw it bloom once. not as pretty as madrensis but madrensis blooms sooo late.

I didn't get those...was trying for ones that may perennialize in my zone. Some I picked were fine and others weren't so Richard made good suggestions for subs based on what I asked for--perennial overwintering in my area, not too huge and colorwise I wanted blue or hot pink/fuchsia or oranges.

I got:
Salvia greggii Raspberry Royale (blooming)
Salvia gaurantica Argentina Skies
Salvia microphylla Orange Door
Salvia microphylla San Carlos Festival (blooming)
Salvia azurea grandiflora (blue) Blooming
Salvia reptans West Texas form (blue)
Salvia x jamensis La Luna (yellow)
bonus Salvia Greggii de Oro-yellow (blooming)
