I have two succulents and a grass that are losing/have lost their color. Here they are.

The first one is a mystery plant - I got it at the grocery store and it didn't have a tag. If anyone can identify it, I'd appreciate it. It was all red when I got it; it's losing its color.

The second is a Crassula capitella 'Campfire.' It's supposed to be red, and you can see some of the new growth showing some red, after I fertilized it with Succulent fertilizer. I read that it needs dappled sun, but I have it in full sun. Maybe that's the problem.

The last one is a Japanese Blood Grass (Imperata cylindrica 'Rubra'). When I bought it in 2016 it was all red, but the past two summers it's come back green.

If anyone has any ideas, I'd love to hear them.

Hello Melissa, when I still had my Crassula capitella 'Campfire' it will get the red tones when it is winter or temps feeling cold while in full sun. So it is a combination of feeling cold stressed and at the same time getting full sun. Typically temps just around 58F to 65F.

During the warmer months it will just stay green. Helps to put it in dappled sun in the afternoons when the heat is much more intense. When it is too hot and dry, you will need to step up watering, but it will stay green since temps are very warm to hot and very low humidity here in our Cali area, and you know our temps lurking at 95F to 100F ++ although right now, we are having early Fall-like temps, but still getting quite warm later in the day.

I do not grow your other plant, so will let others chime in about that.
