Let's face it, in most climates, when we buy new plants and add them at this time of year, we're planning to see them bloom for the first time in 2019! I've been very bad recently, ordering more than I should. Ironic, as I'm digging and removing plants to make room for a few new ones. The circle never ends. The garden is getting smaller, but I'm still adding plants. Please share your lists of the new ones you're excited to grow for next year!

Just want to mention to those of you who've come to this hobby more recently than I. Over the years I've been very LUCKY To have made a group of good daylily friends, many of who like many of the same plants I do. We trade and swap a few plants each year in order to acquire some of those that are rare and really hard to find. Find a group of good trading buddies if you haven't already!! Of course, there are some so new that they must come directly from their breeders.

SO FAR, arriving this fall and next spring( and a few of these are here already, but potted up and will be not even planted until end of Sept. when I've made room and added compost to those areas. Most of these are minis and smalls, as I've FINALLY found my direction in hybridizing. This list will probably get longer, as a couple of favorite hybridizers haven't shown their 2019s yet, LOL.

Very nice list, Julie! I wish you all the best in your mini/small hybridizing efforts.

Don't you just love the name "Lillian's Quest for Grape-ness"? It is a cute name for a cute little bloom and was named by @scflowers (aka Regina) on Fred Manning's "Name this Daylily" earlier this year. It will be interesting to see what it will produce as a parent.

Unlike most folks, I am downsizing and giving some daylilies to a few ladies at work. There are a few though, that as I'm digging, I will keep a piece for myself, which defeats my purpose.

My purchases for 2019: STRAWBERRY CANDY and NELL DEAN. I know they are oldies, but there is a good reason.

Several years ago when I didn't have very many daylilies, my kids gave me a gift certificate for some plant markers. Since then, I gave away 'Strawberry Candy' and sadly 'Nell Dean' died, both of which had those special markers. I found both for sale at Cheryldaylilies.com and have purchased them again so that I can use my markers again. I am very excited to be getting them back in my garden.

I hope to find Star of Kryptonite at a more affordable price or trade if possible. On reserved list though is Lillian's Quest for Grapeness. Not sure what else will be added but garden space is definitely in very short supply next year.

I have already posted my list on the other thread, but just added Caribbean Victoria Jewell from Bonnie Nichols. This is an unregistered daylily by Talbott, but since I don't show daylilies, it doesn't matter to me. I really like Talbott's Caribbean Whipped Cream, but don't like the short scapes. I am hoping this will turn out to be very similar with taller scapes.

I fell into the trap again, looked at Laura's sale list, and just added Vanishing Mist. Laura (twixanddud) has a beautiful clump picture of it on the NGA database.
