@Bedmaker David I ended up getting Soli deo Gloria directly from Karol Emmerich this spring. She had a waiting list. It was well worth it and I hope you find it. It's my new favorite and is reblooming now. I'd offer to share in a couple years but my kids have first dibs on that one

I found Wildcat Willie! More than I want to spend.. but well what can ya do

I had to do a little light internet stalking... figured out where the hybridizer lives, found the daylily club in the hybridizer's area, emailed them, they forwarded my interest to her, she doesn't have it anymore, but knew someone who still does, so forwarded my interest to her and now I just put a check in the mail for a spring shipment. Good lord, this is definitely just a hobby not an addiction

Ginny, I know my wife thinks I'm nuts... she just sees "flowers" regardless of what they are... although she does appreciate pretty gardens Daylilies have always been my favorite though and learning how to hybridize has definitely taken my love of them over a very dangerous (to my checkbook, lol) edge keeping it all in check... my biggest issue has become making new beds. Not because I lack space but adding new landscaping blocks is pricey, also because I favor natural limestone

And in Iowa limestone isn't cheap My new gardens have cut edges and cheap - Well until I get to the plants That's why we all come here, to feel better about our addiction because we all share the same addiction

Off topic-ish... Try Craigslist for limestone. A few years back we bought a couple of tons for 500.00 I've made three raised beds, outlined the other gardens and have enough stone for another raised bed (spring project, unless the fall is awesome) and might have enough to squeeze out one more one tier bed...

Not enough room around here for rocks...they get in the daylilies way

Mary, i have found that true to almost every other flower in our yard. Have to give flowers away to make room for more daylilies.

Congratulations, that's how it's done. I've gone though a similar ritual from time to time. Usually it's a dead-end, particularly with older cultivars. You'd think that a 2015 registration would be simple to find, but...

Yeah, it not being that old of a cultivar, it really surprised me that I had such a hard time finding it.... The hybridizer not having it anymore, really blew my mind too... Why go through all of the work of hybridizing, registering it and then getting rid of it so quickly!?!

The person that I bought it from seemed really interested in why I purchased it, the name or b/c of the plant it's self. They said it blooms wonderfully and prolifically. I think it's very pretty and one I can dabble with hybridizing.
