Hello all!

Well, the season is winding down and I am already cutting everything back and putting pots into the garage. We get our first snow Monday. Smiling

I am now working on getting caught up on my garden journal from the season and I need to ID a plant that came back again this year (with even more leaves than last year). I have no idea what it is but I love the way it looks. It just grows happily in a shaded corner without any supplemental irrigation or attention from me. I catch sight of it as I deep water my spruce and it makes me happy so I let it stick around. I would love to know what it is though! Oh, pay no attention to the mint at the bottom left or the volunteer hollyhock to the top right. Both were pulled after I took this photo.

Thank you in advance,
Benny

My first thought was Asarum but I can't find one with that leaf pattern.

Hello all!

My apologies for the belated response to this post. You know what? I DID broadcast some Eryungium seeds at one point. This could very well be what this is. Interesting. This is the second season it has appeared and no blooms. If this plant IS an Eryngium, I need to get it to a sunnier spot in the spring. I will mark this solved and I thank you all so much for your help as always. Smiling
