I also love H & R Nurseries in Hawaii. I drop a few hundred dollars there on a regular basis.
They are primarily Dendrobium and Cattleya hybridizers but dabble in other things! Prices are very reasonable, plants are large for stated size and often need to be potted up. I just sent in a 23 plant orchid order, quite a few compact plants and they will be shipped Monday and arrive Wednesday. Like clockwork!!
Plants will be less than $9 each.

I am curious as to anyones knowledge or experience with Norman's Orchids. They have such a slick website but I remember several years ago there was some sort of flap about them never filling people's orders and never refunding people's money.

Norman's plants are really nice and fairly priced. If you can buy at a show I would. His shipping operation seems to have several opportunities for improvement. You can google reviews and read current ones, perhaps they have solved their problems.

I'll second what Lindsey said. We have been to his nursery as he has regular retail hours. Lots of Phals. Also quite an array of Paphs and Prags. Along with some Dens and Catts. Very nice people work there.

Just as an update. H & R plants arrived Wednesday as usual. Ordered Thursday, pulled and packed, picked up by FedEx on Monday, they called me with a tracking number and said plants will be there Wednesday! Sure enough, Wednesday 1:51pm they arrive fresh, securely packed and 9 of the 23 are in bud or spike!
In my experience, they are simply the BEST.
Total bill for 23 plants, shipping and handling, $215.

Less than $10 a plant delivered, that seems like a really good deal Bill. It is even better than the bag babies.
