Crazy name:)

I have had Crazy Ivan for a few years. It was slow to get started here, not a lot of blooms, although blooms were pretty. I have not counted buds, but the last couple of years it has done much better and worth the wait. I think the bud count is supposed to be about 25, not sure it gets that many here, but above average with my other daylilies. Also, pretty sure it has never reached 35" tall here.

I planted Crazy Ivan in April 2021, which I bought off the LA. It settled in fine and actually delivered 8 blooms, four from each scape. It was very short this year, being new. It only bloomed from July 10 to July 21, I hope it extends it's season next year. Very pretty flower, I have a weakness for dark eyes!

2022 update. Crazy Ivan is up to 4 fans and bloomed from July 7-22 with 7 blooms then rebloomed in August 10-21 with 4 more. It did get slightly rusty this summer.

2023 update…big jump forward, Crazy Ivan ended the season with nine fans and bloomed from July 5-30 with 15 blooms counted. Best year yet!
