I had a plant that looked very similar to this labeled "Aloe claviflora inermis." It never flowered but it was really heavy so I gave it away when I moved. I thought I had pictures but I just spent 45 minutes looking and I can't find them. Boo.

That is a nice looking plant, and interesting that it lacks spines. Was it grown from seed? Do you know what the parent looked like or how big it got?

The general shape of the plant does sort of resemble claviflora but it looks bigger and it would appear to have a lot fewer leaves.

Yes its seed grown but im unsure of the parents as they were all mixed in together when I received them.
Will plonk it in the ground next winter and see if we can trigger it to flower in the coming years.

Those flowers ought to be helpful in arriving at a firm ID.
