Lovey dubby That has to be the most beautiful Dieffenbachias (Dieffenbachia) I've ever seen! There's no way in the world I'd ever consider leaving that beauty for the new homeowners! Get a hand truck, tilt it down a little and roll it out the doorway to a moving van! Smiling

You should add a photo of your gorgeous plant to the database!

That is a gorgeous Dieffenbachia, @ 1Badmerk. I don't know how far you are moving or what sort of movers you are using. Boxing up the plant will be tricky because of her height, but it certainly can be done. If you are moving the plant yourself, and the move is not far, you won't even have to box her.

Okay, thanks .Luckily for me the distance is less than 3miles . I'm just going to sit with it on the back of my Truck and hope that the wife doesn't drive reckless and try to get rid of me on one of the sharp turns ๐Ÿ™„

Be sure you either cover the plant or protect it from the wind in some way. Simply driving 50 mph with the wind on the leaves will greatly dehydrate and damage those leaves. Ask me how I know. Whistling Whistling

An absolute beauty, Oh! My Goodness. You don't indicate if you're planning on any wind protection on the drive. Even traveling at 5mph will feel like gale force winds to this indoor grown beauty.

The biggest problem will be keeping it upright and stable and protected from wind during transport. A large moving carton would be very useful in that regard.

That said, if you cannot get it out the door, you may have to prune back some of the largest stems. But that should not be an issue as Dieffenbachias are fast growers and respond very well to pruning.

Good luck with the move and try to duplicate the light in the new location as much as possible.

Good point about the wind at all speeds, I'm going to ride in a recliner in the back of the Uhaul Truck and hold the plant upright, hopefully my wife doesn't stop at any yard sales and forget I'm back there ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคจ๐Ÿค”
