Well we are finally in Memphis, TN, leaving Kansas far behind. When the movers came to give us an estimate on the moved, they were shocked to see it would include 21 planted hypertufa troughs and 3 heavy duty display stands. All were moved successfully. We are in a warmer hardiness zone 7. Looking forward to spring already.
On a side note anyone know Erwins german website?

It's good you're moved, Greg, and being in a warmer zone should be nice for you. I'm surprised your movers would move your plants. I moved many times and they never would take plants. We had to move them ourselves, or get rid of them.

Greg,

You're in for some great BBQ. The Rendezvous is amazing. Right near the Peabody Hotel and the ducks.

Your semps will DEFINITELY want almost full shade all summer there and protection from the wet. I lived 150 miles South of there and it was a struggle.

Huge concrete patio, could hold hundreds of tufa pots. Whistling we also a big pecan ( pronounced pee-con) here, not pee-can). Rolling my eyes. I just have to fight and army of squirrels to get nuts. Definitely warmer here can't plant springs bulbs until after Thanksgiving.
And finally Memphis Botanic Garden is only 18 minutes away (and yes Im already a member).

Oh boy, sure hope you are going to share photos with us, from the Botanic Garden?
Can't wait to see all your containers on the new patio. Hurray!

It sounds like you'll love your new place, Greg!
Around here it's pronounced Pee-con, too. Good luck with the squirrels. Maybe you could net the tree when they're ready to pick.

Wow, ok, forget that! It sounds like you'll have enough nuts to share with the squirrels!

Greg,

When I lived in MS, I moved a lot of the troughs under the patio during the winter or when we were expecting tornado level rains. I think now I would do what Greg and Julia do for winter wet. Cover them all with plastic.
