It is described as...

yellow with orange overlay above green throat

the first photo is a match!

the second photo seems lime green with no orange

the third photo has rose pink petals, no orange

I guess they all have a somewhat green throat.

If I were to buy this daylily, I am not sure what I would get:)

I just received SE this year and would love to know what others think of it. Like Frank, I have no idea what it would really look like here.

Boyd, I like the daylilies that open 'flat as a pancake', lol!

The first photo is close, the second and third are not what this daylily looks like for me.

I LOVE this lily... I've had it two years. The first year I didn't get a whole lot from it (as expected) and this year it really started taking off. Lots of blooms, beautiful yellow and great flat-face. I can't wait to see what I get the third year. I uploaded pics from this year.

I love the heavy substance and the way the petals recurve during the course of the day. Temperature, soil and water and time pic was taken can affect how it looks. It is not extra vigorous here but does fine. However, I am careful to have in in a full sun prime spot and mulch it in the winter. It's been here about 3-4 years.

I like the look, I remember when 'Lights Of Detroit' was a big deal.
I'm not surprised that the coloration is variable, I think this plant is involved in Richard Norris' "color-changer" lines.

I bloomed Grace's 'Pathway to Miracles this year, which comes from the tet conversion of 'Substantial Evidence', it also has the "flat-from-the-throat" opening, and looks quite a bit like the third image in the top post. It's one of a small number of daylilies which open reliably here.

Substantial Evidence does well here. Blooms vary in shape and color as Floota mentioned. Increase is good.

Substantial Evidence is the pod parent for Pigment of Imagination, which I planted in my garden last month. From the looks of the photos y'all are posting here, I might have to get Substantial Evidence as well Sticking tongue out

I like daylilies that are different. They make me happy when I see them in my garden even if I never make a cross with them.

Substantial Evidence is new to me and planted just last fall.
First blooms this summer in August. I probably had a total of 10 blooms, so I have a shortage of decent photos. SE, has a large flower, which I really liked. I hope that the plant will have good increase in my garden. Time will tell Smiling

I do not have this plant so am not writing a review. However, I do own several of its children, hybridized by Brian Reeder. I have not had any of them a really long time and will report back later with more specifics on performance, but I bought them for rust resistance, and all have been excellent plants in that regard. A couple are too new to have bloomed yet; will update on those.

Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Kaleidoscopic Evidence')
Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Substantial Substance')
Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Substantial Angel')
Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Substantial Heart')
Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Substantially Awesome')
Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Evidence of Light')

Am expecting two more, So Substantial and Substantial Rosebud, this spring and will report back on those as well.
