Plant low-maintenance plants to reduce the amount of time you spend gardening. Sempervivum, lavender, hosta and most native plants are just some examples.

After I started working full-time. It was harder keeping this one area watered for the lush plants I had there. This side of the building faces south. Gets sun most of the day. The white siding really reflects the light and heat. It is now switched to hens and chicks that are filling in nicely with a few Daylilys and some vegie plants. Seems much easier to take care of now.

Picture is with morning shade.
