I believe I over fertilize this plant in hurry the other day or heater went out sometime last night n this is a result.
I'm leaning towards the fertilizer considering what this looks like!!
Sometimes I forget to weaken it but this time I simply forgot to skip this plants when I had fertilized others ...
If anyone has experience with these I'd like some opinions. It's been pretty picky in past. Kinda sensitive for me!!
I believe I can root these in vase water but I have not personally done string of Pearl's myself Iv just read about it a little.
It dont look like I'm gonna get any of these pieces to stay in pot need to be rerooted!! Darn it!!!
So any information is well appreciated!!! Thanks again all of you awesome gardeners!!!
Peace love chicken grease

This was the plant 6 days ago. It was completely dry before I watered it this last time. Most of my plants I will let dry completely before watering again. This ensures I'm not getting root rot and also seems keep gnats down without any pots setting around wet all the time.
All my plants are little over dry if anything atm because my house has been very dry . My pointsettas were suffering from being over dry recently so nothing is over watered . Deff over fertilized .. agreed!! This is the 6 days ago.
I take weekly pics of all my plants.

It may be over fertilized. Or it may be overwatered. The 'pearls' will root easily if you lay them on some cactus soil.

No, its a succulent. It would be better to just leave them on the counter without any soil for a few days.

I'd avoid putting them in water, Pamela. You could lay them on whatever soil you have at the moment and then move them to cactus mix and be sure not to over fertilize or over water. They can be very picky, but do well with a bit of neglect.

Daisy ty for the help so quickly last night/ evening. You help calm me that I knew someone was there atm !! I stopped by walmart early this morning because it was only time I was going out on such short notice, but no point! They had no cactus soil or sands so that I could make my own. So I may not make it back out today.
Thankfully plantmangers idea is working Beautifully for the moment..

Plantmanger thanks for plan b I did lay them on top of newly planted philodendron that I rooted and it's doing Absolutely fabulous atm and ready to move on to plant room rather than my rooting area/ hospital area. Which is where the String of Pearl's is now!!
The pieces in pictures I laid on top of soil only slightly pressing down to ensure good connections within hour no kidding!! 1 piece was pulling up towards light!!!! This made me happy as I knew thats a good sign that this will pass for day or so.
Again I tried going for proper soil and walmart was out and lowes ect was still closed. ;(
Thanks again both of you!!!!

Don't worry about this plant too much. I had one die back to just a few shriveled (but still green) leaves and its doing great now

Sorry for the poor image quality, just took it right now at night with a flash.

I mean, it looked about like this:

These plants are pretty hard to kill. I agree, don't put the cuttings in water, let it root in some soil. And stay calm, I'm sure your plant will be fine. Maybe fuss over it a little less. Mine does well with minimal water and hardly any fertilizer. And I keep mine outside (I live in California, in the Bay Area)

To add to that, String of Pearls have teeny tiny rooting systems - Don't overpot. Use a shallow wide pot but, keep it on the small side - 5 or 6 inches tops. Smaller for a small or restarting plant is good.
