'Touch of Class' is a sport of June. TOC is also supposed to be tetraploid. I'm not sure of the ploidy of June. Most sites don't list dip or tet for hostas. June is supposedly a sport of Halcyon.

Parts of my 'Touch of Class' in two separate clumps have reverted, i.e. lost the different colors and are now just "blue." I'm saving the plant as its a nice blue. But is this plant Halcyon or something different? I don't have Halcyon, but the leaves on my the TOC reversion look different. Is this a tet version of Halcyon in effect?

I also had a couple leaves of June revert. I plucked out those leaves and the plant is now variegated.

The reversions of the TOC were not just a leaf, but a whole plant.

From the photos, it looks like the leaf on this reversion is rounder than the leaves of Halcyon, which are thin or narrow.

Thanks.

A photo would be helpful.

I have read something on this somewhere else. It said to be called a reversion it can only revert to the plant it came from June . But TOC does sport to an all blue plant named Bulletproof. https://www.eurohosta.com/host...

The all-blue sport out of 'Touch of Class' is called 'Touch of Frost'. I regularly have to remove ToF from my ToC.

According to Hostaregistrar -for which I cannot post a link as yet- 'Bulletproof' is out of 'Halcyon', not out of 'June' nor 'Touch of Class'. Just an FYI.

Just for fun, here's a picture of 'Bulletproof' and 'Touch of Frost' side-by-side, and I'll leave it to you to figure out which is which... Thinking
Hostas are unstable. Period. For example, I've had H. clausa var. normalis for well over 20 years and was shocked a couple of weeks ago to see a shoot with edge variegation! Cannot find any reliable source to tell whether or not others have been discovered before this one, so indeed it may well be the first one. Ever. Now, if only it would come back next year...
