Thank you so much to everyone. I got my seeds and promptly did my happy dance right there in the street, lol. And yes, I have opened that glorious envelope full of sweet surprises for the coming year. Totally excited!

I have really enjoyed the swap this year. Thank you all for the wonderful offerings and to Libby for putting this altogether. Things went so smooth. For those of you I'm still continuing to swap with in other swaps, I'm looking forward to another swap round with ya'll. For those that are not swapping further with us, I hope to see you next year and I hope you all have a wonderful holiday. God bless you all in the coming year!

My seeds came too. Hurray!

Although I knew what was coming, it was still fun going through all the different types that I acquired.

Thank you to everyone that shared their seeds with me. I don't know how I'll plant all of them BUT I'm sure going to try. Smiling

P:S: I have an extra baggie of seeds that belong to Val, we will figure a way to get the seeds to you.

Thank you to Joolie, agoo, tabbycat, IJS and Lovesgrtdanes for the extra surprises. I hope I didn't miss anyone. *Blush*

Lisa, whoops, sorry if I made an error of putting one of her bags into yours. I tried to be careful in the transferring process--nearly all of the boxes of seeds had to be 'upgraded' and transferred to envelopes--and I wonder if the transfer resulted in an oopsie on my part. *Blush*

I'm so happy to hear that most of the packages are making it in good time. When I went into the post office today, you could tell it was holiday time--there were ten people in line in front of me when there are usually only one or two, at most. It's that time of year! That said, if any of you are mailing gifts this year, make sure to get into the post office early! It won't be long before lines are out the door. Rolling my eyes.

I'm starting to think I may have figured out what happened, and I don't think it had to do with the transferring process. I should note that I don't get a master list of where all of the seeds go, so I rely on the checklists I see; however, I think one (or more) of the packages may have had seeds for multiple people in their zip-loc baggies; maybe as a means of trying to keep them compact and easy to fit in the package to me? If that's the case, the zip-loc baggie would have gone to the name/checklist I saw. This is only my guess, but based on the things I'm hearing (and remembering a couple of packages that had zome baggies that were quite full), I think this is probably what happened.

Anyone who received seeds that weren't theirs are welcome to mail those seeds back to me in a regular (or cheapest available) envelope and I will re-sort and re-send them where they go. I want everyone to get the seeds they were supposed to get. Smiling Hopefully I figure out what happened and can make sure it doesn't happen again in the future. You guys are very sweet for saying it isn't a big deal--thank you Lovey dubby -- but sometimes I have a perfectionist streak and I don't want any disappointments, I'd really like to make sure all of the seeds get to where they are supposed to go.
I'm okay if you want to take care of the corrections in Alana's seed swap among those of you who are participating in it, but for those of you that aren't, I'll fix the discrepancies on my end.

Hi DND- seeing these notes that there has been a glitch in the system, I just went through my seeds- I did not get any extra seeds. I did not get the Johnny Jump Ups from Joolie, and I did not get any from Rayann (should be four packets).
Totally not a big deal. If they are found, they could be mailed if you get around to it, or not. I got dozens of seeds, and just by chance none of these were my early picks, they were the "bonus' ones from a few days into the swap when I was "spending" free money.
Also, I could mail you a bunch of stamps. When my father passed away, I found about a zillion postage stamps in about a dozen places, so I have more than a lifetime supply!
Wow lookit all my seeds! Oh this is fun!

Pistil, I got your pack of seeds from Joolie...and think you're in Alana's swap and/or patrobs. I will send with those, if that's OK w/ you and you dont mind waiting.

DnD - That's exactly what happened on my end...I got a ziploc bag from one person; the top seed packet was marked for me, but others were single packs going to others, all in one ziploc. Sorry I am late in responding. I have not been able to keep up with the threads of late!

No worries, Val! I am just happy we got to the bottom of it. I think I might put a reminder in the instructions of future swaps to only put one member's seeds per zip-log bag so there isn't any confusion in the future. It's an easy mistake for someone to make, but at least now we're aware of it. Smiling

Val- I gift the Johnny Jump Up seeds to you! Enjoy- I think just sprinkle them around in your yard or maybe a neighboring ditch or by mailbox. They should brighten up a dull corner, they always make me smile but are never part of a major garden plan.. I am not joining any other swaps this winter, I now have approximately 200 species/varieties of seed to deal with, as the seeds from the "Not From The Seed Rack" last year came too late for me to wintersow. I am a bit overwhelmed with seeds now!

Oh boy, Johnny jump-ups definitely have healthy germination and re-seeding rates. I planted some in one of my garden beds last year and they came back in full force this year in the next garden bed over (I'm attributing it to the wind). They are actually the ONLY blooms remaining in my garden. I'd forgotten about them until I was looking at my irises the other day and realized, with amusement, that there were still a bunch of purple and yellow Johnny Jump up blooms in the middle of the garden box. We've had some hard freezes here, too, getting down into the 20's at night, so those are tough little suckers! A welcome, cheery bloom this late in the season, though. They never stop blooming once they start in late spring and apparently they go on well through fall, given the right conditions.

Mary - I didn't collect any seed this year...the blooms are so tiny that I'm not sure how to go about it. I suppose simply cutting the flowers later in the season and putting them upside-down in a paper bag until the seeds fall off would do it, but how do you know when the flowers have been fertilized and started to develop seed pods?...

I have never tried to save Johnny-Jump-Up seed. Once you have one plant, if you don't weed carefully an dput out preen they self-sow so I have never bothered.

There was a square of paper cleverly wrapped around the 2x3" Ziplocs, so it could be secured with just two bits of tape.

But my camera needs repair!
