I'm still waiting on dilivery of the Aluminet. I have ordered a piece that is 25 feet by 34 feet and has grommets every two feet around the edges. I also ordered bungi cord tie downs to make the job easier. I hope it works.

The Aluminet arrived today and I called the contractor. I hope it will be in place by the end of the week.

Today they installed the Aluminet over the roof of the greenhouse part of the OC. I love the way it looks from the inside; kind of a glowing silvery color. There is still lots of light but it looks refracted.. It did seem cooler but the plants will be the ultimate judge of that.

Chuffed? I hope that is a good thing. Confused

There are several factors in play here. First, I don't want to darken the house and the OC runs all along the back where the big windows overlooking the lake are located. Second, I want it to look nice as it is the place to entertain guests. Shade cloth hanging from the roof isn't going to cut it. Third, it is not so much the light as the heat I am worried about. From what I can tell in the early going, I'm quite happy with it.

It looks really good and I think you will like it. It will lower the heat by at least 10 degr.
