Trish where were you when i was selling these on the co-op forum i had the better of the 2 kinds that last 12 yrs and i made a deal for people . im going to try to post for people the demo i did to show how far a Tablespoon will go!!!I DO NOT HAVE ANYMORE FOR SALE FOLLOW TRISH LINK

I think these are amazing....pre-soak mix with your potting mix and keeps the plant supplied with water available for weeks!. also used in the ground and rooting cuttings. i have pineapple tops growing these for 4 years just keep adding water about every 3-4 weeks

here is a pictorial of how much water a tiny bit can absorb

start with 1 Tablespoon crystals and 1 cup warm water...............3 min what looks like......................8 min all water is adsorbed......yield 1 cup and 1/4 hydrated .some what but..

add 1 more cup water(3 so far)..............................10 min later,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,and finally add 1 more cup water (TOTAL 4 CUPS)AND IN 20 MIN YOU HAVE AT LEAST 4 CUPS HYDRATED WATER CRYSTALS
Thumb of 2012-04-08/chefmike92/e7bbcc
THE FINAL RESULTS NO LIQUID LEFT

now use that in a pot mixed 2/3 good potting mix and 1/3 the HYDRATED CRYSTALS and most all of your plants would be good for 3x longer with out watering.

can be mixed with liquid fertilizer and/or food coloring for great effects.

Hmm, 1 tablespoon swells up to 4 cups?

So 1/2 ounce becomes 16 ounces?

That's 32 times bigger ... or the dry crystals are only 3% as big as the swollen ones.

yea thats why if you do as so many and myself potted up my plant didnt think the directions is 1/2 teaspoon would make plenty but soak first WELL i know better. I used a good 1/2 cup dry and planted. now when i plant i set the planted in a large vessel of water for a while to let it get good and watered. well 25 min later those crystals swelled so much the plant an most the dirt was not in the pot anymore...lol...they pushed the plant up and out of pot

i have used in the ground they work good but if the ground is dry around the hole that just soaks the moisture fast...better then not but not as good as the pot.

you can soak them with mild fert.liquid in your water for longer feeding

you can use food dies or not but root cutting in them they stabilize the cuttings or flowers

oh wait im not there sales person jut fyi
