I previously saw this one on a couple of sites but....sold out. I did find a couple of others online
that I think will be okay.

I think these "brown-reds" are as close to red as you can come. Orange is the other option but a fireengine red looks like its in the future.

I can only hope and pray someday to truly see a living iris that color....wouldn't all?

Just like daylilies are looking for a true blue, and I remember Burpee's looking for a true white marigold many years ago, a true red in an iris would be phenomenal! oh my Dee, I was drooling over that dream picture! Think we can do that with breeding? Or will it only be achieved with gene manipulation?

Red just happens to be my favorite color, in fact I have an entire bed of red daylilies ~ Jan
