Tulip World has All That Jazz Itoh for $44.95. By far the cheapest price I have seen.

What have your experiences with Tulip World been? Are their roots typically true to name?

Good question! Several of us ordered Scrumdidlyumptious from the last year but that was my very first experience with them. One of my roots never did anything, no growth at all. I called them and they said they'd replace it this spring. At least it seems they stand behind their products to some extent!
Has anyone here purchased a plant from them that has bloomed to date? I never heard of them before Southern Peony's FB post last spring.

My first order was last year. I looked at the reviews on Dave's Garden watchdog, and they seemed normal to me.

We will have to wait awhile so see what they are when they bloom.

I will post pix whenever my All That Jazz arrives. Last year I got my roots in April.

thanks Lynn and Liz

Really interested to see if their roots do grow true to name. I would love to order but feel cautious.

My worst nightmare is that I might inadvertently sell something we've grown and think it's true to name when it actually isn't!! Thumbs down

I keep getting tempted by offers like this but then always get too scared to order....

No, you would have to see it bloom before you sell it. That way there is no question as to the variety.

It wouldn't be worth your reputation to save a few dollars.

oh yes definitely! I agree we always wait for blooms.

you know, sometimes even WITH blooms it can be so hard to make a positive id though. Sad

granted - some varieties are obvious. But others are tricky!

So now we've adopted a policy that we only go with vendors who have the reputation of always shipping true to name. but these special deals are always just soooo tempting. Sticking tongue out

I ordered Scrum last year and the only leaf it grew fell off 2 months later. I planted it anyway but doubt it will grow this year. I should have contacted the company last year because this year it was too late. I ordered it again a few weeks ago, if it fails again I will tell them right away!

I placed a small order including All That Jazz and a few more perennials to make $50 to get free shipping. Used the points accumulated from last year's order and this one to take another $3 or so off the total. They have a really pretty phlox on sale and a dark blue salvia that I'd not seen before, picked up one of each plus an anemone.

Sounds fun, Liz. Please post pix of your root when you get it. I am planning to do that, too.

I am curious too. I ordered Scrum. last spring also, it looked good til July, I am hoping it will show up again this spring. I also ordered Joker, The Fawn, and Julia Rose in the fall. The roots looked quite good. Keeping my fingers crossed. I looked up reviews and most were good, but they only mentioned size of roots or bulbs, not if they were true to name. I wanted to order All That jazz, but decided not to risk. Would be nice if just 1 would bloom this spring, but probably won't be that lucky.

Here is a picture of All That Jazz itoh from Tulip World. Got it this afternoon. Overall, good size with 5 eyes. Happy with the purchase. Already in the ground and being watered by Mother Nature.

Yours looks great, Gary! I just tracked mine, and it is supposed to be delivered tomorrow! I will post pix, too.

We are headed for three days in the 70's, so I will plant it the same day!

Hurray!

My All that Jazz arrived. I have paid more and received less. It had three large eyes and one small one and was nice and firm.

I have already planted it.
