It looks like you scratched your Laelia itch and snuck in a cym and a couple of others as well. Good work!

Ha! Now I know why they didn't have as much selection as usual at the show yesterday! They do all the shows around Ca., I think. It's only a two hour drive from here, but I've never bought from them. Too pricey! They do have some lovely orchids though.

I just took a deep breath and bought Phaius 'Wild Thing' from Logee's. It looks like a nice fragrant ground orchid.

I will keep it in a big pot under an oak tree. If we get a night below freezing, I'll put it in the garage along with everything else.

Kathy, the order from SBOE looks glorious!
Jim, can you please take a pic of the Phaius to post here when you get it?
Would very much like to see what Logees sends.
Thanks,
Janice

I've dealt with them before. The plants are nice but small and expensive. On the plus side, they have plants that I just can't find anywhere else. I bought my thornless tree bouganvillia from them a couple of years ago and it's 6 feet tall now and blooming like crazy. I've still not seen it for sale anywhere else. This Phaius 'Wild Thing' is a very special plant so I forked over $31 (including shipping) for one in a 4 inch pot. It is the price you pay when you want hard to find plants.

I just got my order from ebay Kawamotoorchids, they did a great job on packing and the plants look really nice.
I hope they don't miss Hawaii too much though!
