This popped up in a pot that had a coneflower in it. The coneflower didn't make it. Sad

Any ideas?

I'm not sure? The leaves remind me of a mum, but the flower doesn't.

Celandine Poppy (Stylophorum diphyllum). I sure wish that would show up in one of my pots!

Hilarious!
Thank you for the Id Kent. Guess that's pretty lucky to have that pop up, thought for sure it was just a very healthy weed. I have been fertilizing it. Hilarious!

I have a celandine poppy from the native plant society here in south Carolina. Apparently they are rare woodland plant, it grows great in shaded garden. Does not need fertilizer or fuss, just shade. Collect seeds from the pods from the flowers and you will be very popular ithe seed swaps. It is perennial.
Nice hitchhiker you got there!

Thank you for those tips Judy. Rare huh? Well, now I don't feel so bad about it coming up instead of the coneflower. Had the coneflower made it, I might have pulled this rare plant out while weeding. Will have to collect those seeds. Smiling
