Hello, I believe this to be nicknamed the Dread Cactus, after dread locks. I would have to look up the scientific name however. but that is beautiful. Did you buy it?

Ang's son might have been the closest, actually - if I'm correct, it is often called "Monkey's Tail" or Golden Rat Tail -Cleistocactus winteri. I really think this is it.
