I just read in the news on how there's massive fires AGAIN in AZ/NM/CA.. early for that kind of problems. Saw that there's houses being lost, too. Sad Everyone in that area has my thoughts & wellwishes.

Thanks for your concern. My grandson-in-law is working one of those fires. I don't know how the firefighters do it in the combined heat of the weather and fire. It's horrible; I don't even want to see what's left.

Thank you, Toni!

I have friends who can see the fire smoke but seem to be safe enough right now.

Thanks for your sentiment, Toni! The southwest has sure had it's share of wildfires over the last 10 years. It's a tinderbox for lack of rain, high, dry winds, high temps. Well, we know what that's all about! Not so bad when the spark comes from Mother Nature but when it's "man caused" it's a real tragedy.

Thanks to your GS-in-law, Alma. Brave guy.

Thanks, Toni for the kind thoughts. We had several calm days in a row and there has been some measured success . Winds have picked up today; hopefully things will continue to improve, nevertheless.

I, too, have heart-felt thanks for the firefighters! We're within about 30 miles of the Gladiator fire.
