Saw a potential bloom slowly forming in one of my sedum morganianum plants ...woohoo
Hopefully it proceeds without a hitch! I wonder if a sudden cool down aborts it..we are expecting a sudden cool down tomorrow

WOW I have never seen mine bloom.

So far that bloom still in that suspended stage...we'll see in the next few days as we hit 90F and higher..!

Keep us in the bloom loop. I will look forward to seeing the color of the bloom.

You are right Hetty! That photo in the database was a bloom photo I saw in 2010..now hoping for a new one woohoo! I still do not know what triggers the bloom..whatever it is...I hope I see it soon!

Here's the whole plant...the bloom would be along the lower right side there..

Wow, really nice. I used to have a large one of those in Calif. If I even moved the air around it, it lost it's seeds. When we left, I sold it at a garage sale and I think half of it stayed on the floor of the garage. That delicate nature is what keeps me from getting another one, that and the resemblance they have to a cat toy

Oh we have that cat toy thing going on here too. Now the 'comfy' planter that was underneath it has been replaced with a very spiky Agave and they don't get near the Sedum anymore!

Today, all three buds are in full bloom! Truly, these ones are thriving in the heat!
