I had the best intentions to do this weekly, but I should have known better. These are roses that started blooming in the second and third weeks of May.

This is the older Aloha (Boerner rather than Kordes). It's also a climber, although not as vigorous as the Kordes Aloha.



Amberlight is a russet tan floribunda.



Alpine Sunset is a hybrid tea, and so is Angel Wings. For years, there were no pictures of Angel Wings on HMF and I often wondered why. Now that it has finally put forth its first bloom after three years of coddling, I know why. If ever a rose needed grafting, this is it.



Anvil Sparks, another hybrid tea, also took three years to produce its first bloom, and even then it was only because I put an upside-down gopher cage on top of it to protect it I think the cats kept sitting on it and stunting its growth. Apricot Moon is a floribunda.



Aquarius is a grandiflora and Aschermittwoch (Ash Wednesday) is a russet-tan climber.



Audrey Wilcox is a hybrid tea.



Aunt Ruth is a climber and Autumn Splendor is a mini-flora.

Ballerina is a hybrid musk and Baronne Henriette Snoy is a tea rose.



Belle Story is an Austin shrub and Bill Warriner is a floribunda.



Biola Centennial is a mini and Bishop Darlington is a hybrid musk.



Blue for You is a floribunda and Blue Skies is one of Buck's hybrid teas.



Bluhendes Barock is a floribunda and Bouquet Parfait is a hybrid musk.



Bonita Renaissance is a shrub that produces huge blooms, many of which end up upside-down.



Breath of Life is a climber and Bridal Pink is a floribunda.

Several names I don't recognize, then again, you do have a lot of roses! Love the colors Bonita Renaissance and love all the Austin's! I always love taking pictures of Camille Pissarro, it's so entertaining.

Comtes des Champagne is an Austin with such heavy blooms that they're almost always upside down.

You should get Leander, Sue. I looked for it for a long time and then found it at Garden Valley Ranch. I had bought one, I thought, from Rogue Valley, but theirs turned out to be a pink shrub with semidouble blooms.

Myriam is a hybrid tea and the second rose is a mystery rose I got from Vintage Gardens years ago. They didn't know the name, although they thought it might be something like Glamor Girl. It's either a tall floribunda or a grandiflora, and the colors and shape of the blooms knock me out. Any guesses will be highly appreciated.



Okay, I know this is an acquired taste, but here's one of the crazy ruffled roses I love. This one's called Mystique Ruffles and it's a polyantha. Nancy Reagan is a hybrid tea.



Neptune is a hybrid tea and New Face is a shrub.



New Year is a grandiflora and Nina Nadine is a floribunda.



Noella Nabonnand is a climbing tea and Nostalgie is a hybrid tea.



Opening Night and Orange Parfait are hybrid teas. Orange Parfait is always a sort of peachy-apricot color and never really orange.



Orchard's Pride is a hybrid tea and Our Lady of Guadalupe is a floribunda.



Our Pearl is a wonderful climber with a great mixture of white, pink, and yellow in its blooms, and Padre is a Pernetiana hybrid tea.

Zuzu, where do you buy the Buck roses? Chamblees is the only place I've seen them, and they sure don't carry the beauties you are showing us.

They do carry them, Cindi. They don't carry all of them every year, but they always have a better selection than anyone else does. Most of mine came from Chamblee. I also bought some from Great Lakes Nursery when it was in business, Syl Arena when it was in business, The Uncommon Rose when it was in business, etc. Heirloom has a very large selection of Buck roses, but the only one I bought from them was mislabeled. I've also bought several from Roses Unlimited, which should be having a big sale any minute now.
