Last March when I started the annual repairs on my old Solex Greenhouse (loved that Greenhouse) my wife said it was time to retire it.
She told me it was time to buy a new kit but when I starting looking around and saw the quality and prices I decided to build my own.
It took me just under 2 months from start of design to finish. Being retired allowed me to devote full time to it.
I tried to take a picture at the end of each day.
I hope this may help gives others ideas for their own greenhouse.
Total cost was about $3600.

I built it last year. Just moved my seedlings out to the Greenhouse a couple days ago. (was 24 degrees night before last)
Dayton is about 15 miles east of Carson City in northern Nevada (500 miles north and not near as warm or populated as Las Vegas).

To me, it looks like you're in a much nicer part of Nevada! I remember taking a trip through that area once. We hardly ever met another car. One place I remember from that trip is Ely, across the state from you.

Enjoy that new greenhouse. Looks great and am sure your seedlings will do well in it.

I'd like to see that too. I need another greenhouse and was thinking of building something similar. I didn't know it would be that costly, although wood is very expensive now.

I have all the info from the build costs etc but have not put it into a presentable format. I can tell you that the polycarbonate alone was over $1300 with shipping. Pressure treated wood is pricy also. It laughed at 60 mph winds this winter.

That's ok. What thickness is the polycarbonate? That's great it has passed the 60mph winds test! You did a great job on it.

What a fantastic greenhouse and such an inspiration. Your staging design is brilliant and has given me some good ideas for when I get my new polytunnel set up! Hubby will be busy!!
