You know what, these pictures show exactly the same plants as this year.

We visited ours in Pennsy last Friday, I would expect some of the earliest ones to open this weekend, some probably next week and following - if the temperature stays reasonably warm.

This could also go into the garden thread, but -
I hope my Bletilla striata survive tonight's frosty weather (-report). I took some pictures today despite them wiggling in the wind, just in case.

Bletilla striata

The alba form has also very nice white-edged leaves.

And I added last year some Bletilla striata 'Kuchibeni'
They are white with just a touch of pink on the lip.

You could grow them in pots, let them go dormant in Fall and place them into an unheated spot in the house?

That's just what I was thinking. Could I mix them up in a pot? (Sounds like a stew!)

Oops forgot I also bought a blue....http://www.plantdelights.com/Catalog/Current/Detail/06948.html
Very excited about that one!!!!!
My plan is to put the striata and Kuchibeni together in one pot and the Murasaki Shikibu together in another.

BTW, I've moved my fall blooming Pleione into the cool room and have decided to water it once a week. It has a couple of new growths forming.

Very cute, I like it!

I stuck my camera through the netting of the bog ( not too easy), here is one of the Cypripedium reginae in bloom. They both came back this year, but only one bloomed.
