My tomato plants are tall...but really small leaves and they look kind of pathetic.... what could be wrong? I grow them in pots...have fertilized and added dolomite recently.... why so sick looking? They are setting to bloom.....but rather pathetically. I am fertilizing with Miracle Gro for TOMATOES>...

What kind of tomatoes are you growing? Some tomato plants are more fragile looking. Some of the heart varieties have real wispy foliage. Can you get a picture?

The brown leaf tips might be indicating too much fertilizer...

Ditto what Dave said. And M-Gro might just do that if not mixed correctly. Either that or your potting mix might not be fully broken down and your plants/pots are heating up.

Looking forward to pics if you have some.

How can I reverse the damage...just wait until it washes all out...they are in large containers...and we get about 10"+ per month. Glare

It looks like maybe a fungus and if you receive 10"+ a month that might be the cause. Do you have a fungus spray? It wouldn't hurt even if it is not a fungus so I would try that and see what happens.

I have not used Serenade but from what I have read I think it will work. Dave and Shoe may have other ideas on what it might be after the get a look at the photo.

SOLVED! Glare I pulled them out of their large pots and discovered that I had given them a good dose of Epsom Salts (magnesium and an acidifier) and burned them...they were hurting. SO...with rejuvenated soil and new plants I am looking forward to a bumper crop!!!!! Green Grin!
