I have asked about this one some place else before, but I think they identified it incorrectly. I just want to see if we can find the true identity. I found this on the side of a road near Paris, Tennessee. I want to order seeds, but can't identify it. I ordered what I was told it was and the plants didn't have the correct leaves.

That's what they said it was but I planted seeds of that and the leaves were different. Maybe they sent the wrong seeds!

It does seem they sent the wrong seeds, which wouldn't be unusual.

Can you post the photo of the one you grew from seed?

I think the original post must have been correct; however, I am so tempted to get the one you found as an alternative. The one I found was a Biennial. That one you posted sounds like a good Perennial. Thanks so much for giving me another option that matches it so well. I won't count the petals. Hurray!
