Dave, all of the "Other" checkboxes on the form for searching for roses by characteristics should be accompanied by a write-in field, and so should the "Bi-Color" and "Multi-Color" checkboxes in the "Bloom Color" section. Otherwise, the searcher will get a long list of roses with every possible "other" variation instead of just the one he or she is seeking.

Actually, all of this also applies to the searching by characteristics form in the Clematis database, and probably to all the other databases as well.

Here's the search form:

I think it's essential for narrowing down a search. Someone who's searching for a red and white bi-color bloom, for example, won't want to wade through a long list of plants with bi-color blooms of pink and white, orange and white, orange and yellow, etc.

Okay, I have added this functionality to the search! Please give it a try and let me know if it's working the way you expect. Smiling
