As Cinda says, I think you need to ID it by the taste and smell.

It could be anything from apple mint to chocolate mint, and still look the same.

Peppermint is nice for garnishing drinks etc. but it's too strong to use in Mojitos. One of the more fruity mints is better for that.

Garden Ideas: Level 2
Apple mint is vastly different in appearance. It has furry leaves and is a pale green with green stems. Peppermint has purple stems with darker smooth leaves. Spearmint has green stems with crinkled mid green leaves.
