Here's what Mark Dimmitt, he wrote the book, says about what he's gotten from seeds:

Complex adenium hybrids often produce unexpected offspring. You often cannot deduce the parentage by the appearance of the plant and flowers.

For example, I crossed a Harry Potter type flower with a pink from India, and a quarter of the offspring have pure white or yellow flowers. In another case, I crossed Daeng Siam (red with purple edge) with two Harry Potter types. The offspring were either solid red or white with bold stripes.

The strangest result to date was a cross of two yellows. I got no yellows, most offspring were white with pink edge or Harry Potter types.

From fifty "New Yellow" seeds, I have one sort of nice yellow, but the petals are rather floppy. Hum, Warunee doesn't have a yellow-yellow right now, just the pale ones with pink stripes.

Wow, looking on Ebay I came across this plant, 99 cents, shipping, $189.99. BUYER BEWARE!

Oy! $190 for shipping alone? One would better off buying a return airplane ticket and go get in person, for about $20 more. Highway robbery, I say.

It IS a big plant, and probably "worth" the money to a collector. But the style of the vendor is slime.
