Found this odd and dead thing by our common area alleyway...looks like some kind of lizard..poor thing... Sad
At first glance, I thought it was a young snake..closer look shows it was some type of shiny scaled lizard.

The lizards here are mostly dull colors. Last year the local lizards were wiped out in the drought (again). So we don't have any larger lizards, just smaller ones. The large species only have juvenile ones this year that are smaller than the adults. Maybe next year they'll be large.
