I have posted this jynormus hosta every year in hopes of an id.
This was given to me in 2008.
I took 1/4 th of it to transplant somewhere else this spring.
It hardly made an impact.
It has a starting bloomstalk.
Just starting to bud.

Wow, great growing ... that is really a nice plant! I don't know anything about Hosta's but there are some large varieties out there. One for instance is H. sieboldiana elegans:

When I asked for an ID on the hosta forum I was told it was most likely from the sieboldeana group. When I googled them Elegans came up constantly. The problem I have with that id is I have elegans in another garden and the leaves are bluer.
I looked it up in 3 places and found a lot of color varietion. This isnt the end of the world if no one knows for sure,I live with many un named hostas and it doesnt bother me.
This plant is so commanding I just get curious from time to time. It was given to me by a gardener when I first went on the garden websites. Just sentimental.

I am sure both of those have blue leaves
I am satisfied with Elegans. This plant is twice as big as BA.I also have Blue Umbrellas.Leaves are too pionted on that plant.
