I am most fortunate to live within 30 minutes driving time of fabulous Longwood Gardens, Kennett Square, Pennsylvania. I hope some day I have more leisure time to visit this great place, but now it seems we go only when relatives come to visit us. So when we do make the trip, one of my favorite places to visit is their Orchid Room. It is best to visit during the daytime so you can use natural light to take photographs, but night time is good because of their lighting makes the colors jump from the flowers.
Please enjoy the photographs I recently took on July 31, 2010. If only we could capture the intoxicating fragrance of these awesome flowers.
Best regards,
Joseph
