Woofie, those stems look a little red to me on the right.
Seems like mine have a greener stem but I'm not sure. Maybe Trish can take a look.

I risked one leaf. I don't think it agrees with me. Kind of an astringent sensation on my tongue. Figures. I hate the stuff in the garden, too! Hilarious!

If you look closely at the photos Margaret posted, the stems on hers look a bit red, too. That's only apparent on the older, leggier stems. The new growth is very green. And I think the flowers may be the give-away. 5 deeply-lobed petals appearing to be 10.

True. Apparently I don't pay a bit of attention when it gets old and leggy and past its prime. Green Grin!

Could we not discuss personal matters such as age, please.
This year it is not one of my favorites. Sad

LOL! I just love terms like "the golden years". Some of us seniors aren't feeling a bit golden, except maybe for the hair color....MIGHT be if it comes from L'Oreal and other such companies.
I would feel more optimistic about a bright future for man if he spent less time proving that he can outwit Nature and more time tasting her sweetness and respecting her seniority. E. B.White

I missed the golden part, Linda. It went straight to white.
So are these my white years?
