Yes Betty you do see some teeth. I don't know where some of these get teeth from unless the parents have a recessive gene in there somewhere for them.

Like them both Michele. Anytime you use OPEN MY EYES you will get a lot of nice look-a-likes, its really a dominate flower both ways. I think the heat is causing some of the teeth, once it's in the mid 90s they do some strange things, I have noticed some here where the color is almost faded out when they open.

Michele, gorgeous seedlings. I choose Pink Aloha x Raspberry Mountain, Sense of Wonder x
Orange Blossom Trail, the long cross of Mardi x Only Believe, Lillian's Stoke the Fire x Carol Todd,
Lillian's Jinger Bred x April LaQuinta. Beautiful, all of them.

Fred, you have so many beautiful large eyed seedings, it is difficult to choose one. But I love
Lillian's Lying Eyes x Ivan Attitude, Parrot Moon x Lillian's Banging Mangos, (Lillian's Alabama Sunrise x
Carol Todd x Lillian's Alabama Sunrise x Martin Blondeel), and especially the Mango Sundae sdlg.

You guys are doing great stuff. Congrats.

Thanks for the comments all.
Here is a two year old I had flaged on the first scape and set seed on it. I did not take a photo of the first scape blooms, but I'm possitive it did not look like this rebloom scape. It had bloomed several times on this scape before I took this photo yesterday and every bloom has looked just like these four. The buds are twisted like a cork screw before they open.

Lovely!! I love Kims and your first one is a winner for me for sure!! Then the one with Happy Happy is stunning.

congrats Michele!!!

I have a question: Is there some kind of reason it's harder to set seed on rebloom scapes? Or, am I just doing something wrong? I was getting around 50% pod setting. Then last week it dropped to about 25% and now for the last 3 days(which would have been pollenated a week ago) I'm getting 10%. Same plants, shade, light, maybe not quite as much water, it's been 3 weeks without rain and I'm sure this is a big influence but it shouldn't drop it that much since I watering every other day. Or does it??? Heat????? I've been finishing up with the temps still around 80. Today it was around 85 with the heat wave setting in full force here. I won't know how well, if any, pods set for about 5 days. I need some advise, maybe I just need to stop??? I know, I have more than enough, but I do have some late bloomers that I'd like to get a few pods on. Today, I collected pollen first(darn sweat bees are stealing all of it if I wait). I may just save the pollen and use some of it next Spring???

Thanks Mona

I actually have better luck with the rebloom scapes setting pods. I would say it's the heat even if you are getting done when it's still 80. Remember the pollen has to go through the pistil and some daylilies take longer for that to happen than others; the heat will sometimes cook it before it gets to where it needs to be. I have noticed sometimes when it's hot the tips of the pistil look pinched. I have broken some of the pistil off to open it up and then pollenated. I don't know if it helped or not because I don't mark the ones I do this on. And even though the temps say it's 80, for example, it feels hotter (to me anyway) which could be from the solar activity. It's just been a strange season all the way around starting with the winter.
If I were you I would get the pollen you want to use the day before or if you saved it use that and then go out really really early and dab the pollen and this may give it time to get where it needs to before it gets hot. I have been known to pollinate at 6:30 am because I have too much other stuff to do later.
