Just wanted to inspire you guys! Don't even have a garden but I transformed my balcony to grow fruits and vegetables. A lot of greens are easy to grow in pots and containers, despite what most land owners might say. They said I could not grow berries or trees on my balcony. It's not that I don't believe them, it's just that I'm really stubborn and it works! Just be careful, containers dry out more quickly in the summer heat. I fill them with absorbing clay pebbles and materials. So there's my kitchen garden, it even has an apple and pear tree on it and some berry bushes!

WoW! super garden and super plants! Now you've got me going off to the nursery today to get me some more veggies! Those plants look as good as any plants I've ever seen. Amazing what you are doing on your balcony. Thank you for sharing.

All veggies on here are grown from seed and low budget too, like lettuce, andive and bok choy.

Elmigo, you planted all those plants from seed? Wow! Those plants look like they came from the nursery! I bet you save a lot of money doing that. I was wondering if you would share the type of potting soil you use. Everything looks so healthy and wonderful!!

Except for the berries and apple/pear trees ofcourse, yes! And everything on here produces something edible.

I use organic kitchen garden potting soil from the local garden store. Before planting a seed I read as much about this plant as possible, so I know whether it likes shadow or full sun, maybe they need specific soil types and I can adjust it to that. Great thing about containers is, you can move them if the plant needs more shadow or sun. I also use fertilizers and everything is 100% organic!

Beautiful... and with a purpose! It must be lovely seeing all those plants growing and being able to use them fresh! What time is dinner? Smiling

Many blessings for your continued success!

I've got a little land but it's sloped and rock hard. Your garden is inspiring for sure.

It's nice up here, a lot less slugs munching on the vegetables than on a piece of land. Here's some kale I'm currently growing; broccoli and cauliflower in a large container.

I take photos daily to keep track of all the growth stages of plants. Who knows when this might be useful later? The picture below shows tomatoes, curly lettuce and red lettuce, andive, onions and garlic, red sweet peppers and some other fruits and vegetables. It's not even that hard, all I do is sow, water and harvest. Sometimes I do a little fertilizing inbetween.

Thank you all for the sweet comments! I hope to get more people to grow fruits and vegetables, even if you don't have land. Nothing tastes as good as home grown foods! Group hug
