I have a number of dianthus in full bloom right now and they look so pretty. I usually just let them go to seed, but I'm wondering if I cut the plants back after bloom if they'll re-bloom? I know of other perennials that will do this. Would love those beautiful blooms to last longer through the season.

Thanks for sharing your pictures, we should all have more of those!! They are stunning, especially the white ones. Do you know what they are called? How tall does this variety get?
Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Mat.6:28-29
I would think they would rebloom for you with your long season. Some dianthus will rebloom and some won't after being cut back according to my dianthus book. But I don't know for sure which ones.
I think dianthus will be my next collection. Those are beautiful, Joy!
